The most valuable historical buildings, artwork and museums can be found in the Old Town and its environs. They can be visited on foot, and many hotels and most restaurants and shops are within walking distance of the Old Town as well.

Cruises down the Oder River are organized in summer, and a great panorama of the city is visible as the boats run along Ostrow Tumski. Boats can also be hired for a banquet on the water, tel. 328 36 18 or 372 76 17.
One can also enjoy a ride on old tramways Baba Jaga (tel. 357 72 34) or Jas i Malgosia (tel. 343 77 24), and on an open bus Fredrus (tel. 343 77 24).
