Sulejow artificial lake and its environs

Water reservoir amidst woods

Surrounded by woods, the lake is a good place for practicing water sports and angling. The environs are friendly for bikers, horse riders and mushroom pickers. Anglers can catch pikeperch, pike, perch, bream, eel and carp.

The Cistercian monastic complex (13th c.) of the Sulejow-Podklasztorze is one of Europe’s best preserved defensive constructions.

The baroque Franciscan monastery (17th c.) in the nearby Smardzewice. The bison reserve at Ksiaz and the landscape park in the vicinity of Tomaszow Mazowiecki are the major natural attractions of the area.
