The Biebrza route - aminds birds reeds and bulrushesThis route often takes you between walls of reeds a few metre high and offers you a possibility of watching numerous species of avifauna such as crane, heron, black stork, lag goose, great snipe, and rare reed warbler. The unique wetland of the Biebrza River Marshes occupies the area of 1,400 sq km. The Biebrza route runs through these marshes and cuts across the Biebrza National Park. It is suitable for those who fear not mosquitoes or long trail legs with no possibility of stops. Nuisances of the route are greatly outweighed by the magnificent beauty of nature. To avoid a myriad of mosquitoes travel in May and June. You will cover some 150 km within 8-10 days. All tourist gear is transported on kayaks and nights are spent in tents on campsites.
