Czerwinsk upon Vistula
Set on the bank of the Vistula, the small village of Czerwinsk boasts a Romanesque church.
The three-nave stone basilica topped with two high towers preserved much of its 12th century Romanesque character, although in the later years it was remodeled in the Gothic, Renaissance and baroque styles. It preserved its Romanesque portal (1150) and the paintings in the Crucifixion Chapel as well as its Gothic frescoes.
From the terrace near the church enfolds a splendid view over the opposite Vistula bank and the Kampinos Forest.
