Poland has a dense network of paved roads. Beware of poorly lit bikers, farm vehicles and horse-drawn carts on minor roads. In Poland you drive on the right-hand side of the road and driving rules and traffic signs are similar to those in other European states, although with some local variations. If you see a signpost indicating "animals", drive very carefully: Polish roads are not fenced off and wild animals suddenly and frequently cross them, especially at night time.
