Municipal transportation
Municipal transportation in Poznan is quite comfortable. The city centre is serviced by tramways, and the rest of the city by tramways and buses. In tramways the price of the fare depends on how long the ride is, and the bus transportation works on the time and distance principle. There are plenty of taxis waiting at taxi stands, but it is most convenient to order them by phone — the drive to the customer is free (telephone numbers of reliable taxi services are: 821 62 16, 822 23 33, 821 92 19, 919). Taxis can be ordered free of charge at the newsstands at Poznan Glowny railway station.
