Cycling through Poland
The pleasures of cycling tours were discovered in Poland many years ago. The Warsaw Cycling Society was established in 1884. The popularity of cycling trips nowadays is largely due to the fact that trails run through forests, mountains, along various waterways and roads with flat grades and little car traffic. The majority of cycling trails lead through picturesque landscapes, unspoilt nature and far way from urban areas. Poland has several thousands of kilometres of cycling trails, which are signposted as they are in Western Europe. Cyclists can profit from all sorts of visitor’s facilities, including hostels, mountain huts, rural accommodations, hotels, and bike hire from special rental centres. Fellow-cyclists can be encountered on many trails, especially during events organised jointly by the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) and the Polish Tourism and Country Lovers’ Association (PTTK).
Welcome to Poland - the country of attractive cycling trails and hospitable hosts.
