Location: Busko, located just 48 km from Kielce, received its city charter in 1281, and was a salt-works centre for centuries. This is the most sunny spa in Poland, valued for its sulphide waters and beneficial insolation conditions. The spa lies on the outskirts of the town, 1.5 km from the centre where the historical Marconi sanatorium is located, surrounded by the beautiful spa park. Treatment facilities: spa sanatoriums with 1,185 beds, spa hospitals with 730 beds; Gorka, a famous rehabilitation hospital for children. Available therapy: pump-room, physiotherapy centres, 2 indoor therapeutic pools. Zdrojowy Park’s special feature is the white classicistic building of the baths, with beautiful interiors. Artistic events: Busko Music Festival (June-July), Busko Folklore Meetings (May). There are two interesting reserves of fauna and flora near Busko: Owczary, with sulphate-brine springs, and Skoronie, with caves in gypsum rock.
